I heard about the Stem for Every Child Scholarship through a few hundred Google searches! I was on the hunt for scholarships to apply to and eventually came across Stem for Every Child. I applied and eventually forgot about the scholarship since I had assumed it had already been awarded. Then, I received a phone call from Ms. Bolsen on May fifth. I was not expecting to hear that I'm one of the recipients, but I was thrilled to find out that I am! It truly made my day. Now, I can attend Nazareth College with less worry about my financial aid and pay more attention to where my passion truly lies: Music Therapy. I plan to someday open my own Music Therapy practice in a community like mine that lacks access!

Winning this scholarship means so much to me! I really admire the work STEM For Every Child does in the classroom and I’m honored to be selected by this great organization to receive one of their scholarships. This money will help pay for my education at Georgia Tech where I will be majoring in biomedical engineering. My plan is to pursue a career designing medical devices where I can use my passion for STEM to help others in my community.

I want to truly thank the STEM organization for this opportunity. This was a really big surprise because I know there were many other kids who applied for this scholarship, so to be one out of six is really amazing. I will surely use this scholarship as an advantage as I transition to college.
